Dead graphics card?

My MSI gaming laptop has been experiencing random shut downs lately during gaming. Last night, I go to power it on and after a weird crunching sound, the display no longer shows up. The fan spin very fast and the computer itself powers on, but there is no display. is my graphics card shot?

Possibly. Could also be a power/motherboard issue. RMA the laptop if possible.

This problem sometime occurs when users play games during charging (but sometimes). May be your laptop is overHeated due to gaming but it can't be over-heating because before its goes to dangerous temps, Laptop hangs, stop or lower's the frequency of CPU & GPU. Your GPU came into a problem. Its better to give it to any shop for its proper inspection.
