Dead laptop - power light comes on, but nothing else - diagosis..?

I am trying to fix a friends laptop, a HP 15-ac020na

She reports her dog sat on it and now it doesn't work.

On connecting the power lead, the power/charge light next to the power socket on the laptop lights up, so it is getting power. I then press the power button, and the power light comes on for about 5 seconds, and then turns off.

But no other response. No fans, or visual display.

I have removed battery, DVD drive, (case), RAM, SSD, testing each time, but no change.

Can I presumse a dead motherboard / prcessor? I see no sign of liquid damage (which would be dog pee I suppose...)

It is possible that something internal was broken by the weight of the dog. Depending on the size of the animal. Laptops really aren't built to withstand pressure.

Y thanks figured as much. It's definitely dead - tried three different RAM modules, none worked, no change unfortunately
