Dead Mobo?

A few days ago, I shut down my computer (custom built). Upon returning and trying to turn it on, it wouldn't start. When I pressed the power, nothing would happen. I checked the power supply, and it was working fine, so I decided to get a new motherboard to fix the problem. I got the mobo today, installed it, and I was getting the same results as before. Could it be my motherboard was DOA, or is there something else wrong?

My old motherboard was an ECS KN1SLI Extreme and the one I bought was a Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS. Both are socket 939.

Specs:
1 Gig memoryPOWER RAM
AMD Athlon64 3800+
nVIDIA 7900GT

Any help is much appreciated!

Any beeps?? Do the fans spin up??

So 2 mobos that do nothing when you power up? ok...

When I build a comp I usualy turn it on by shorting the power switch with a jumper (directly on the mobo). This should work if your button doesnt work.

If your CPU is dead then you should probably get no beeps meaning the mobo isnt comunicating with the CPU but the fans would spin up.

I get no response at all when I press the switch. I'm not sure how to short the power switch either.

I just had a huge run-around involving my memoryPOWER 1GB stick. Originally, I thought my computer was attacked by a virus, so I formatted everything, and attempted to reinstall Windows, but... Well, it's really a 3-day story, involving a number of nearly unexplainable things. All that really matters is that once I removed the memoryPOWER stick, the computer worked just fine. I'm trying to track down their website, to find their warranty information, but I can't seem to locate it. Teaches me that generic may not end up cheaper =\

If you can locate anything about the memoryPOWER warranty information, I'd appreciate it if you could e-mail me at trunks_7457@hotmail.com

Good luck!
