There are better deals on better externals out there.

I think I've had drives from just about every manufacturer and my oldest one still in use is a WD so in the long run it is not at all disappointing. I don't even think this has a WD drive in it anyhow.

Really? I've had almost every manufacturer, including Quantum. and they all seem to fail equally as much
