hmm... SSDs are getting cheaper. They almost have me. Just waiting for a 512gb+ for around 200. Maybe next year. Just maybe Till then its my WD blacks

Not really - USB 2 is realistically limited to 25MB/sec, and even the 5 year old 3.5" samsung I have can do 60MB/sec. (my WD caviar black does 110MB/sec)
