Hi all,

I just got a refurbished dell Vostro 470 MiniTower with the following specs :

Processor: Intel Core 3rd Gen i5-3450 Processor (3.10 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.50 GHz)
HD : 500GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
Power Supply : 350W Power Supply
RAM : 4 GB Dual Channel DDR3 (1600MHz)
OS : Windows 7 Home Premium
Dell Wireless 1703 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0

I am installing a Samsung 830 128GB SSD as a primary drive and I was thinking of installing a decent video something my power supply can support. Here is a link of the power supply specs. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/521/photo1dn.jpg/

any input will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it will definitely work but i check if your PSU has a PCI-e power connector.

Well its a Dell, so the power supply is actually viable in terms of actually being good. I would recommend the 7750 still. It would have much headroom to run. That would be my recommendation.

Considering this i need 388w for the 7770 and 356w for the 7750,
Test with current vga is 349watt , Seems fair enough ... So yeah i think ill be upgrading the PSU aswell .
Would this Work ?

Not a good power supply.

Your minitower is the limiting factor for your power supply....these are pricey in the higher watt segment.

Stick with the HD 7750. These have been put into 250-300 watt power supply systems.

Corsair Builder Series are not my favorite power supply....only would buy it if the selection or budget was extremely limited. Too many reports of whining noise.
