Deciding between Ultra-wide or Dual Monitors

So for quite a while now I've been thinking about getting the Acer Predator X34 but i'm wondering if it's really worth it or if i should just go with a 2 or 3 monitor set up instead.
So basically I really like the idea of having two screens so i'm able to switch between them etc but the X34 has looked a lot more appealing, just was wondering if you guys would be able to help me figure out what would be best for me.

My main games are League of Legends, Titanfall 2, occasionally Osu! and i'm planning on hooking up a PS4 Pro to the monitor as well for exclusives, I'm thinking of starting to do some digital drawing and streaming soon if that would have an effect. I also don't really have any idea for what single monitors are good or anything so those would, I don't know too much about specs and what not but i'd preferably be looking for a curved, 144hz, 4K monitor, not sure how much MS means

In my head I had an idea of the X34 and then having a single monitor attached above it but i'm not sure how practical that is, thoughts?
Also I also occasionally go to tournaments so i was unsure if going from an ultra-wide to a normal scene would have a huge impact on my gameplay?

Also I'm running a MSI GeForce GTX 970 I'm just wondering if that is going to be good enough to handle new games coming out and still be able to run them in 4k.

Sorry for the long post fellas and thanks a bunch for any help! :)

I would definitely say go for dual monitor setup, much more efficient for using multiple things, ultra wide as you said would be hard to go tournaments as its a lot harder to carry, if you want to be using your ps4 as well you could have it attached to only one of the monitors so its your computer is much easier to access while playing the ps4
ms is the response time, its like it will take 4ms for the mouse to move on the x34, while on some single 144hz monitors the response time is like 1ms.

Your GPU should be good for some time longer so i would not worry about that. 😀

With 3 monitors it would be great for digital drawing and streaming:

for the drawing you can have your main monitor for the artwork, your second of a picture that...

for the drawing you can have your main monitor for the artwork, your second of a picture that you can get ideas off and maybe a 3rd one for a turorial

for the streaming it would be even better as you can have your game/or whatever you want to stream, your streaming preview so you can see what your viewers are seeing to make sure that they see what you want them to see and then you can have the chat on the other monitor, this would not work to well on an ultra wide monitor as your game would take the whole monitor limiting you from interacting with chat etc, unless you play your game windows.

sorry for super late reply you might have already got the monitor/monitors

Hope this helps! 😀
