So many people are telling me to get a mobo with pci-e becuase all the new video cards are going to be coming out in pci-e so I decided to look for a good mobo and new graphics card. Should I stay like I had it before. Please note there are 3 other things I will change the memory, video card and CPU that I would have to switch. Any advice is welcome

LMAO! You HAVE the faster processor already: The Northwood performs better and runs cooler. DDR400 performs better than DDR2-400, which is the speed you'd be operating at with an 800 bus CPU.

If you just want to run a PCIe card, get ONLY a new Socket 478 board with 915 chipset and DDR support. No DDR2, no Socket 775. And yes, there are Socket 478 boards with the 915 (PCIe) chipset.

I bought the Epox 5EPA+ for $119.00. Its one of the 915 boards that uses DDR and it has a PCI-E slot. Other than the fact that it only has 1 IDE interface "2 on the Southside" this is a good overclocker and very user friendly. I mentioned that because I figured you had probably read the article over at Amandtech that covers this board.
