Hello group, here is my situation, I have a Deco (w6000) Wi-Fi 6 mesh system. My ISP is a cellular modem. I have been running this particular configuration for 3 years. All of a sudden I started losing - or should I say my Deco Puck stopped passing internet/data to my PC by ethernet cable and I also lost the Wi-Fi. all LED's were (green) Sometimes rebooting both my modem and the deco would restore Wi-Fi and internet, my computer running Windows 10 which still showed that I had an internet connection. If I plugged my ISP connection straight into my PC, the connection was still there, and working fine. So I bought a new Deco w6000 puck and replaced the original one in my office, the exact same scenario. Next I tried when I had a failure and it would run for 4 or 5 hours before it just drops out and will stop passing data, I would unplug that modem and plug in another cellular modem and it would work just fine. So at this point, I am pulling my hair out. I have always just done plug and pray, so am I missing a setting in the (router) set up? I did set the DNS in it to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4---but it did not seem to help??
I'm a bit of a novice, and do not have a lot of router setup experience.
thanks R

Why are you don't you just use a wifi card in your pc. Unless the deco puck is sitting far away all you are doing is using a wifi nic that is connected via ethernet rather than say a USB cable. It will not work any better than a wifi nic in the pc.

So does your connection go.

cell modem---??wifi??--deco router--- wifi----remote deco puck.

Can you tell if the wifi is functional between the remote deco and the main router. Could it just be that you do not have enough signal strength. Since your pc seems think the connection is good can you log into the remote deco unit. Does it have any diagnostic screens that might be helpful.

First, thank you for taking the time. My connection is cell modem, to The Deco router puck, then it is connected to my office PC with the ethernet cable and feeds Wi-Fi to the rest of my home. When it stops passing data I cannot access The Deco app. And I lose Wi-Fi through the rest of my home and on my phone. I can unplug my cell modem cable that comes into the home and plug it directly into my computer and I have internet. So it appears that there is nothing wrong with my ISP. The computer shows that I am still connected to the internet by going into Network and it shows I have a connection, and also the ethernet connection icon at the bottom right hand side of my taskbar. All LEDs are green when this happens but I cannot access the app without any internet passing through the puck. I can unplug my ISP, reboot it, and wait for a while and plug it back in and all is good sometimes for an hour sometime for 4 hours and times for a day and a half, and then it'll fail again. As I said I bought a new Deco Puck same model, and I get the same situation - I know, very strange.
