Dedicate server between 500-1000$

My friends and I had the idea to build a dedicated server to host team speak, a modded minecraft or garrys mod server with not more than 10 people and mabey a web site. I have no idea what kind of hardware and power is needed to be able to host this. Any ideas are apriciated.

First make sure you have fast Internet speeds.

And make sure you aren't violating your user agreement with your ISP. Most residential ISP agreements prohibit hosting a server.

I did it on Time Warner so if he has that I know it's allowed.

I can't comment, I have never read the user agreement. Just because they didn't close your account, doesn't mean you weren't violating your user agreement....
