Hi guys, i own a custom-built PC with MSI GTX 970 and processor Intel Core i7 2600 3.40 Ghz
so, the problem i have encountered recently is that when i played one of my games then i noticed lag later i came to know that it was because my PC was runing on Processor Graphics instead of it's own dedicated GPU. When i looked at device manager and went to display adapters it only showed Intel HD graphics not GTX 970.

When i right click my desktop Nvidia control panel wasn't there also. My HDMI Cable connects my monitor to my GPU where as a VGA Cable connects my monitor to motherboard. When i switch my input to HDMI, it receives no signal and changes back to VGA Automatically. I tried a new HDMI Cable still no new thing i tried doing system restore, still nothing. Now the strange thing is the GPU seems to be working in Safe Mode and HDMI gives signals also. When i tried to install latest drivers in safe mode it said that Visual Redistributable for visual studio cannot be installed in safe mode but in normal mode it does not detect the hardware at all.The HDMI gives signals till the Windows loading logo (Win 10) when it ends the monitor turns to VGA

I hope you will help me with my problem, Thanks

Update:- The LED Visual for MSI Logo is also lit in GPU

Solution
Enter the BIOS and make sure the Graphics settings are set to use PCI-e graphics.

try uninstalling the Nvidia drivers and see if you can install the new ones.

sounds like a setting or driver issue to me so try these to see if it helps.

Thanks bro, i tried your solution but a little differently yet still worked, there were settings under "initiate Graphics Adapter iGPU, PCI/iGPU, PCI/PEG, PEG/iGPU, PEG/PCI.
I selected PCI/iGPU and it was the only one that worked.
Is this the real way ? please confirm.
Thanks
