currently i have a gtx 780 and i game on 1 monitor 1920 x 1080 and out of curiousity i was wondering would a dedicated card for physx be worth it? never tried before and i dont want another 780 because i believe that would b overkill with 1 1080p monitor. so should i get a lesser card for physx or just get another 780 and be set for 2-3 yrs or maybe more?

Not worth using a dedicated PhysX card with these newer gen cards. I think the 780 has something like 2304 cuda cores? More than enough to handle physX tasks. If you had something older, like a 560 TI or even going back to the old GTX 200 generation I could see a dedicated PhysX being worth while, but with these new devices it's just not worth the cash.

PS: A GTX 780 on a single 1080P monitor is just extreme overkill!

If you get a lesser card and run SLI, your 780 will be dumbed-down to match the frequency of the lesser card, which would be a waste of your 780's power, I would suggest getting another 780, or selling your 780 and getting a 780Ti or dual 760/770's

i know its a tad overkill but i like my cards lasting more than a yr or 2. i was just curious.
also im always paranoid about cards and not bein able to run ultra at 60 fps abit ocd about that , thats why i also tend to go abit overkill.

A 780 can only be SLi'd with another 780.

Who ever said anything and SLI-ing 2 of those together? How did that even come up? Also you NEVER SLI a dedicated PhysX card.
