Is there a noticeable difference in modern systems to use a Dedicated Sound card to offload Sound load in modern games?

WOW, Modern Warfare, Rocket League, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Borderlands 3 - Possibly upcoming Cyberpunk 2077?

For gaming? Not really. Modern motherboard audio chipsets, especially on shielded type implementations, are generally very good.

Now, if you are an audio enthusiast or a sound professional, then it would make a lot of sense to have a dedicated audio solution OR if you have specific hardware such as headphones that require an appropriate DAC or output type not found on the motherboard, you might want to invest in something more advanced. But for the average person, even if you have some middle of the road equipment connected to your outputs, it's probably not really a necessary investment.
