Dedicated Streaming Pc

Would this build be good for a secondary pc dedicated only to streaming or is there something else in a similar price range that is better?? Keep in mind I've got 2 8gb sticks of ddr3, a 120gb Samsung ssd, ar9 270x, as well as a FX6300 and asrock 970 extreme pro3 r2.0 just laying around unused. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xrzXhq

A dedicated streaming PC need a Capture card to function though.
So while you don't need a full on GPU, you do need some basic graphics functionality.

But if it's dedicated 100% for streaming, you don't need a full i7 to do that. i7s are good if you need to split your processing power between streaming and gaming.

And actually the PCIE capture card pretty much does all the processing for the stream, so you don't need a strong CPU at all.

Well my question at that point wouldnt it be about the same as if I bought an itx mobo for my fx6300. The fx6300 is better when running all cores and only slightly worse in single core performance. I don't need integrated graphics since I have a r9 270 laying around. In this scenario I would only need a mobo, case, power supply, and capture card.

The problem is ITX mobos only have 1 PCIE slot, and capture cards for dedicated streaming PCs use PCIe slots. The fx6300 doesn't have integrated graphics, so you have to use a GPU and thus have no extra slots.

A larger system and a micro atx or full atx mobo will have more slots, but it'll be as big as your current desktop.

They also don't make Mini-ITX mobos for the am3+ socket.

It's debatable whether the 6300 would actually perform better. Intel CPUs have some encoding technology advances that can actually do a much better job than pure software encoding.

There's a few problems with that case in particular, 1. I would never use the PSU it came with on an FX cpu 2. it's a low profile case so you can only put low profile expansion cards in there (not your GPU or the capture card)

Lol so essentially my entire old rig but I don't want to reuse my red and black H440. So this configuration will allow me to stream at 1080 and up to 60fps (even though ill probably stay at like 30) in high quality?
