Dedicated video ram

Hello everyone!
I-m having a little problem. My computer has a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, and is recognized at such at the bios. Still, there are other apps, like systemrequirementlab, that state that i have 3 gb of dedicated video RAM, instead of the 6gb.

Is there a problem with my video card?

Nope. Its a problem with thier software, system requirements lab is wrong alot.

Awesome! So there-s probably no error, and I really have the 6gb of dedicated video ram? Where else can I check my gpu specs if not in the bios?

Gpu-z is a good program for gpu info.

I started playing rome 2, and the game too recognizes my gpu to have 3072 MB of dedicated video ram, while it should say 6 gm....Is there something really wrong>?

What does gpuz report?

6144MB. Is there any chance I need to activate the other 3 gb? I mean, is there a possibility that my GPU is not fully available, but only partially due to settings?

If gpuz is reporting 6gb then you are most likely good. When i had my 4gb 770s many games and programs would only see them as 2gb.
