Deep Intermittent Buzzing Sound

There is a deep intermittent buzzing sound from my Samson SR850 headphones. I've checked with my phone and it isn't the headphones. I can't seem to find a pattern with the noises, one second it's working fine, then there is a buzz. It seems to happen with the microphone also when it's plugged into the front-panel connectors along with the headphones, however there seems to not be a rear headphone connection for my motherboard, unless the software just isn't bringing up the option. Any help would be appreciated, as Gigabyte have offered to look at it for RMA, but I can't work without my computer, so that's a no-go.

What Motherboard do you have?

Look at the back to determine if the motherboard does or does not have a rear port headphone connection. Would be unusual, I think, not to have such a connection. There should be a physical port.

Take a close look at all internal wiring connections. Especially those related to audio. Could be some cable that is improperly connected or faulty.

Swap in other known working cables if possible.

I've semi-solved the problem. When I plugged the headphones into the rear motherboard port, there was no headphone option, so instead I've just opted for 'speakers' and set it to 7.1 surround sound through the headphones. Works just fine now!
