[SOLVED] Deepcool Fans sata connection to usb

Hello,
I have purchsed the Deepcool RF120 RGB fans that come with a controller in which the led lights get powered by a sata connection cable. However there is no spare sata connection left in my pc and i was wondering if i can buy a sata to usb adapter or something else to power them some other way

Don't try to get power from a USB port - they have a very low capacity, and NOT enough for lighting devices. Get it directly from a PSU output. Here are sample options.

The first is a simple Splitter that converts one SATA output from the PSU into two. The second converts one to four.

This might be a better way. It is a Splitter to give you two SATA outputs from one female 4-pin Molex output from the PSU. If all your SATA output connectors are in use already, it may be that you have an unused Molex you could use with this adapter to give you two additional SATA connectors.
