Perhaps I'm a little weird, but something I've never really liked about Windows is having the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Something I really like about Ubuntu is having the taskbar on the left side of the screen. I'm aware that you can change the positioning of the Windows Taskbar, but there is one main reason that I haven't done that yet.
When you run with the Windows Taskbar on the left side, I don't like the look of the Start Menu. I prefer to run the fullscreen Start Menu in this case. However, Windows 10 automatically defaults to showing Pinned Tiles when you open the Start Menu if you are using fullscreen Start Menu. I don't like tiles, so this screen is blank for me. Then I manually have to select All Apps.
As far as I can tell, there is no way to tell Windows 10 to automatically show All Apps when you open the Start Menu if it's set to fullscreen. Is there a registry tweak that would do this or, better yet, an actual setting that would allow that?
