[SOLVED] Defragging SSD via ASUS GPU Tweak II

So I downloaded the GPU Tweak II program from ASUS and saw that it had a "Gaming Boost" option. I clicked it, and it required me to do 3 things: Set performance settings for visualisation, disable some windows processes and finally, defrag. I clicked on all 3 and proceeded to enable them all. The defrag thing told me that It cleared like 300 MB or something however, I have an SSD (Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250GB) and I heard defragging is bad for it. I only did it once and I'm not even sure if it was proper defragging or just cleaning up memory or something. I'm not sure if ASUS detects if I have an SSD or something, it might have just been cleaning up junk. My question is, is my SSD screwed or is a 1-time mistake fine? Will my reading or writing times be affected at all? I really hope not. I just keep managing to make some stupid choices and worrying that I screwed my PC up.

Your SSD will be just fine , just don't defrag again.
No harm done.

There is zero need to "defrag" an SSD. Let the OS handle it.
It knows much better than some GPU tweak thing.

One time should be okay, but dont do it again.
I would also recommend avoiding any "game boost" options/utilities, they dont actually do anything and more often than not cause issues.

The only thing you did was decrease the potential lifespan of the drive from 10 years to 9 years, 11 months, 2 weeks.

Wow, I know its only a couple weeks, but SSDs must really hate being defragmented.

Oh crap, I just saw it said "System Memory Defragmentation" is that different to SSD defrag? Also if its got to do with RAM, will that damage it?

And no, it does not hurt your RAM.

Oh my god, what a relief. I know defragging an SSD 1 time is not that bad, but it is a big relief to know I didn't defrag it at all.
