dekstop clock loosing time

suddenly i noticed my dekstop clock loosing 3 seconds per 6 hrs.my dekstop is not sync with internet.my dekstop is 3 yrs old.my mobo is g1 sniper b5.it happens when i start my pc in 6hrs interval.is it cmos battery issue?

I don't know what you are syncing it up with and checking it off of, but there are probably just discrepancies between your PC and watch/phone or whatever.

When a rig starts losing time it's often indicative or your CMOS battery starting to go bad, would get a new one, (about $5-6)

but as far as i know if cmos battery starting to bad or faulty then date and time will be default or reset every time of manufacturer date and time when i reboot my pc .....but in my case it just loosing couple of seconds per day.so can you surely say what is the problem?my pc is not connected any kind of network.
