so I was playing CSGO and I was hitting over 500 ping which is unusual for me. I went into my router settings and deleted a desktop I didn't recognise. My own PC is the only desktop in the house and the icon of the one I deleted was greyed out so I assumed it was maybe my old PC or something. As soon as I kicked the PC my internet fixed itself. Is this much cause for concern?

Probably no cause for concern.

Likely your PC, the router, or some other network device was "looking for" the old desktop and taking up bandwidth.

Could even be some incoming request to port forward if you ever set that up for the old desktop.

Or perhaps an IP conflict of some sort.

Just keep an eye on things for awhile.
