If you havent enabled multi monitor in the BIOS. If it's there, it'll may or will disable the onboard video and probably the SPDIF as well

If the card you installed has a SPDIF header you may have to connect it to the SPDIF header on the mobo. If it has a SPDIF header to get it with the card installed

Unfortunately this is not the case with me. My Graphics card is not equipped with a SPDIF out.
