Using Windows explorer go to the C:\ Windows\ System32 Folder.
Do a search using "*.cpl" (without quotes).
Look for the unwanted icons in the search results.
Verify that those are the icons / files you wish to delete.
Place a copy of each file in a backup folder.
The delete one original in the System32 folder.
Check that the icon is gone. If so, then delete the other icon.
Leave the backup copies in place just in case.....
If in doubt about anything along the way, just stop, and update your post accordingly.
