Deleting Partitions and remerging HDD space Problem

I have run into a problem when trying to add the deleted partition space back to my drive. Granted the drive I'm trying to do this to is a seagate external desktop expansion drive. I'm not sure if I can restore the space that I partitioned back to the main drive. Unless I am doing something wrong. When I try to add the deleted partitioned back to my drive (Anime :N) it gives me the error that the operation is not supported by the product.

My product that I'm trying to do this to is an older model Seagate Desktop Expansion Drive (STBV3000100)

Hey there, Alciel.

Basically what you are trying to do is to add space from Disk 2, to one of the partitions of Disk 4. In order for this to happen both drives should be converted do dynamic, but don't do that.
As far as I understand you want to add the unallocated space of Disk 4 to the "Anime" partition (the one that's 1250GB). However, you can't do that via Disk Management. In order for you to be able to extend a volume in Disk Management, the available space should be right next to the partition you want to extend and on its right side. E.g. You should be able to extend the 650GB "Anime" partition of Disk 4 with the 19.5GB of unallocated space next to it; you should also be able to extend the partition "Music" with the 124.39GB unallocated space and the partition "Movies 1" with the 125GB available space. I think you get the idea.

However, if you want to extend the first "Anime" partition of Disk 4 with all of the unallocated space left on that drive, you'd have to use a 3rd party partition management tool. I'd recommend that you backup your data before that, just to be on the safe side.

Sorry I should of been more clear. What I want to do is merge the unallocated space from Disk 4 back into its main drive. Eventually I want to remerge disk 4 so that its back to being its giant drive.

I'll give what you said a try, I didn't know that I couldn't merge partitions that weren't next to each other.

Also a quick question, What would happen if I "extended" the drives with data still on it?

I'm not sure if I understood you well, but if you want the whole Disk 4 to be one giant partition, then your only option is 3rd party software. However, as already mentioned, this is not really recommended without having a backup of the content you have on that drive, just as a safety measure.

If you extend a partition with data on it, e.g. if you have a partition with the letter A: which is 10GB and full of data (never use A: for partitions this is just an example) and you want to extend it with unallocated space which is 15GB, then you'll get a 25GB A: partition. There should not be any problems with the data you already had on it.
