Dell 500m battery concerns

Hi.

My usually reliable 500m is having battery probs. It hasn't been
"lasting" as long as usual and now the lights are flashing - red 4
times in quick succession, then green for about half a second. It's
now fully charged, but what do the lights mean?

On my old HP brick, you could re-calibrate the battery - can Dell's do
something similar?

Any advice appreciated

I had a similar issue on a 600m and I was able to fix it by upgrading the
BIOS to the latest version, check for it at support.dell.com
