Hey,

I know that x58 can stand its ground in gaming today, and I have found a very good deal on this motherboard and an i7 960 with it. From my quick research it says that this motherboard has an x58 chipset and can support 24gb of ram, compared to the normal 12 or other boards. Would this be ok to overclock on, and use windows 10 and game with? For the overclocking, and because this is a lot cheaper than other alternatives, I would be using a water cooler or a really beefy tower cooler. I know most of you wouldn’t have heard of this board before, but the advise would be really appreciated! If you have any other questions, please ask, as the sooner I can figure out if this can game, the sooner I can get it :D

Thanks

Overclock? Its a possibility. Dell boards tend to be bundled with processors (at stock) that are close to the boards limits, but that board does have a 8 pin connector for extra power so it might be a possibility. ( Who knows what vrms and the amount of phases are on it) As for Windows 10 you might be able to use the 8.1 mobo drivers but it's not guaranteed.
