On the Dell charger, the green LED indicator will 'blink' (on for a quick moment than off immediately) if I plug it into an AC outlet. I have tried several outlets and have tried unplugging the AC cable from the charging unit itself to no avail.
It 'did' work and sometimes (if the planets align) the light will remain on. I know the charger will work IF the light is on otherwise the laptop will not receive a charge. In all the tests, the charger was NOT connected to the laptop since it seemed to be an issue with the charger unit itself. Whenever I get lucky, if I even move the charger an inch, it will act like no power is coming in and I have to play around until I luck out.
I cannot be certain this charger is indeed this laptop's original charger, but I do know it is a Latitude charger (Inspiron connectors are different as I also have that model as well) and the specs seem to check out (voltages and amperage match). I'm mostly trying to figure out if this is possibly the AC cable (simple fix) or the unit itself (just annoying). I have other chargers on hand to fiddle with but I'd like to see if I should just order another charger, charger cable, or see if I can't revive this charger (or if it is even worth doing that). The model laptop is a D620, just in case that helps at all.
