Dell charger not charge battery

I have a dell e6500. My charger is giving power to laptop and working. But it stop charging my battery. I have mint linux 17 install it.

if you can find someone with the same laptop..try there battery in your laptop make sure it the brick and not the battery. most laptop batteries have a ic in them and if that fails the battery wont charge. anyone with a volt meter can check the brick to see if it spec.

Sorry i forget to say the battery is ok! I plug in the battery and the charger to an other dell.
