I have a Dell Latitude E6540 that has an Intel and an AMD Videocard as well. Can I swap the video card our or is part of the sytem? Also wondering if I can just completely disable the Intel Card?

Thanks

Solution
The E6540 appears to only have one fan and it would make sense it gets hot because it has high end components inside of it. You could try blowing the dust out of it to help the cooling if you haven't in a while.
Hello, the gpu in that laptop is soldered to the motherboard and is not replaceable. The amd gpu should come on automatically when doing gpu intensive applications. Just curious, why would you want to disable the intel gpu?

Well figured I could use the AMD one exclusively. There's some other issues going on. I think one of the fans isn't working or the cooling system is faulty as it gets really hot particularly on the left hand side of the device
