Installed a New Battery on my Dell.
Steam game Shuts PC Off.

My Dell G15 5520 ran A OK with Steam games ...even with a dead battery and PC on AC, for which I was awaiting a new battery to be delivered.

BINGO!
Installed the New DELL battery (at least I think it was a real Dell battery).
Steam games will not work and DELL shuts down completely after only a few minutes running a Steam game.

Did all the diagnostics etc.
Repaired a couple of corrupted files.
Made changes to the power settings.
BUT nothing works!
When trying to operate Steam and start up any game...PC still shuts down after a few minutes.
Temperature is not the issue.
Fans were cleaned a week ago. (after new battery installed)
Thermal paste was replaced. (after new battery installed)

Would it be the so-called 'new' battery that has all the DELL markings and stuff causing this??
As I mentioned above,...a DEAD DELL Battery, and only the AC plugged in => The Games on Steam worked fine.

Installed the 'New' battery (Which Dell recognizes as a real DELL Battery), and then the Steam & PC Shutoff issue happened.
It shuts off completely.
Upon getting to turn it back on...I have to deal with the WIN OS screen on date/time stuff

I am almost ready to re-install the dead Dell battery and just plug PC into AC!!

This can't be that difficult to solve.
Await advice here.

Thanks for reading.

Regardless of the new battery your BIOS should hold your clock settings. If your clock setting is not holding than you should make sure the motherboard BIOS battery is still good. It's the coin size battery on the motherboard. Should be 3.3 volts.

Also If your clock is off in Windows than it will indeed kick your games out and Steam as well.

Wondering if I should just reboot the PC from default settings and wipe off the HD with all the files that may be in conflict?
