Hi I have a fx 6300 and a rx 560 graphics card. I recently got a gtx 1070 from a family member. I know the fx 6300 will bottleneck it but what kind of performance increase should I see from the rx 560 to the gtx 1070. I am going to be getting a new CPU later on, just wondering for now.

You ought to get a significant performance improvement - even if just performing as a 1060 or even a 1050Ti given the CPU, it would be a bump. Since you're getting a new CPU later on, I wouldn't worry so much that it may not reach its potential.

I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to buy a 8XXX or 9XXX FX CPU for your current motherboard as that would be a waste of money.

As we already stated, the performance difference is great however bottleneck it is. The only way to truly find out for yourself is to benchmark your old and new GPU with your current system.
