Dell Insipron 15 7759 wont start (2,3) led lights and I have no ram installed

I have a Dell Insipron 15 7759 that wont start. The power button responds and keyboard lights up, but no boot screen logo and the fans aren't spinning.

I'm getting the (2,3) led lights indicator (no memory) and I have no ram installed. Could this be my issue? Ram has to be installed for the laptop to boot to bios?

Already took the battery out and held the power button down for some time to reset its parameters.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes rams need to be in at least one of the slots(if it's got two) to power up and show display. The LED's flashing is to indicate no ram or dead/faulty ram sticks.

Gotcha and yes it has 2 slots. I tried putting ddr3 ram from my 2012 macbook pro, but realized that this model requires DDR3L .
