I have a Dell Inspiron at my office that I just replaced the display on. I ordered it from Amazon, after booting up the laptop I got a DELL screen and then a warning that the time and date were not set, I went into the BIOS, checked and everything was fine, I pressed exit and was left with no video. The laptop now won't boot, the processor fan won't turn on, the same with or without battery and connected through the power adapter. What could have gone wrong with all this? I have checked the connections, they all seem to be fine.

What could have gone wrong with all this?
If you did the disassembling and reassembling, probably a multitude of things, maybe you have a short on your laptop's motherboard, maybe your settings in BIOS were reset and you merely saved and exit as is without verifying all other parameters. The display could've been the wrong model.

You could try and disassemble the laptop again, remove the internal battery, ram and storage, press and hold down the power button for 30secs while disconnected from the wall(as well). You can use an eraser on the gold contacts of the ram stick(s), wipe free of any eraser lint, then reseat with one stick if the laptop had two sticks. Power up using the adapter first and see if that helps.

Did you verify that your GPU didn't have any issues prior? What is the laptop's SKU? Asking to know what your discrete GPU/iGPU is on the laptop.

What you tell me to do, I already did.
Regarding the SKU, I'm sorry on the label stuck behind, on the cover of the DELL there is no SKU, the model is an Inspiron 15 3511 Model P112F.
I searched on Amazon for a display that was compatible with that model and the one I found said that.
The GPU didn't have problems before, I could see the screen, it was just cracked and of course it didn't work like that.
I did everything slowly, without rushing, but even now, after waiting those 30 seconds pressing START, with everything disconnected, I reconnect the memory and try to turn on the laptop and nothing, dead.
