I have a insprion 546 with a amd phenom (tm) 9750 quad core 2.40 ghz, 8gb ram, 1tb hard drive, nivida gtx 750ti with windows 10 pro. will it run gta 5 smoothly .

so would it lag a lot on normal settings ? I have a OptiPlex 990 mini tower with i5 2500, 16gb 2tb hdd, evga 750 ti sc windows 10 it plays it fine no lag but on 720p at normal settings. so would it be the same on the insprion 546 ? or should I not worry with it ?

Try it. I would expect the Phenom to be way more laggy - GTAV hits CPUs hard, and 1st gen Phenoms were very, very slow CPUs.

It would be much worse, you will see. i5 2500 is a beast comparing to your Phenom (Inspiron 546).

Even if you upgrade Phenom to Phenom II x4 965 BE, it is still will be inferior to your Optiplex performance.
