My Latitude E6540 laptop keeps losing my wifi connection. I am running Windows 10. It will work fine for a week or 2 and then it starts dropping the wifi signal. Soon I cannot connect at all. I unplug and reset the router and the modem but it does not help. I do not think it is the router or modem because there are 3 other laptops connected and they never lose their connection. Anyway after an hour or two I will finally start to get a signal, but it will fade in and out. Restarting the computer does nothing to help.

Solution
Install the latest drivers for the Latitude's WiFi card.
Also, take location out of the picture. Use the laptop in the location that the other laptops 'never lose their connection' and see if there's any change.
Are the other laptops newer and have AC WiFi cards, by chance? Is your latitude only capable of N? There are some settings found in most routers that allow you to adjust WiFi to be more favorable to older, slower WiFi cards.
