Hello,
The Dell Latitude D505 had the situation of a messed up system file. I solved that problem with a trip to the installation disk and the repair/recovery option.
Now we can use the laptop, except it cannot see the outside world. Loop-back ping works, but nothing else. I use ipconfig, but not information is displayed. There is a network adapter shown in the device manager area, but when I use network connections there isn't anything shownnn. So what am I missing?
