so i have a dell optiplex 390 sff, and i want to add a graphics card. i am aware of the limitations of the psu, but i am wondering whether i have to take off the pci bracket, because it might be too long? i am aware of the length of a card, but what about the width? what are my restrictions?the pci brackets on the sff are signifigantly smaller than that of a mid tower.
much appreciated,
jeet

This should be what the Optiplex 390 SFF looks like inside. It should be identical to my Optiplex 790 SFF. I stuck a GTX 1050 Ti Low-Profile card in mine (Zotac). The PSU had a +12V rating of 17A. Look on the nameplate of your PSU and verify it's +12v spec looks like this.

But keep in mind... you use a GTX 1050 Ti with that PSU at your own risk. Personally, I had no issues with it. Used it for a couple years until I sold the PC. If you're squeamish about pressing the PSU, then the GT 1030 might be a better choice for you.

Btw, the Zotac GTX 1050 Ti just fit. Its length was fine and by moving some of the cables aside, there was plenty of cooling. I had a i5-2400 CPU in mine.
