[SOLVED] Dell Optiplex 7040 with Rx 560?

I want to get a Dell Optiplex 7040 MT with a i7-6700, though the PSU is only 240 watts. is it able to handle a RX 560? (since i have one laying around) I've read at max load it produces is 172 watts thought I've also read that its max TDP is 80 watts. (don't exact know what that means) The 7040 itself stock takes 67 watts on moderate use. I want to ask people on here seeing how this forum has been quiet useful along my 5 years of messing with PC's before I've made an account. If there a better option for a pre-built under 400 bucks with a solid CPU and PSU I'd love to here it.

It really depends on how hard to plan to drive the card. It's only a 75w card so it shouldn't really tax the system too hard:

I just plan to play titles like csgo and also try valorant, nothing to demanding like battlefield or gta5. Is there anyway to set a limit or bottle neck to the wattage of my gpu?

There isn't that I know of , but you can change detail settings that change the workload for the card, which will affect its power usage.

Alright, thank you, the computers on its way. Also another question i have is if the GPU maxes out the PSU what will happen?

Potentially it will reboot (most likely), shutdown automatically (second likely), or overheat/damage the power supply (not very likely), or catch on fire (shouldn't happen).
