I want to buy the best CPU that is compatible with my pc.
My Pc is an OptiPlex GX620 , 3Gb RAM DDR2 , Nvidia GeForce GT 730 , DT version


I`m 90% sure that my actualy CPU is an : Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 630 supporting HT Technology

I think this is the best CPU you can get with that MoBo:
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770

Its not a great CPU by looking at the benchmarks.

the gx620 doesn't support any of the core series processors. Pentium D 945 is probably the best cpu supported by that Dell.

Hmm... why not? i readed just a few minutes ago in this forum a guy with same socket can use Intel Core2Extreme X6800 or an Intel Core2Duo E6700

Dont waste your time, just get a better motherboard/case/cpu, even if you have to get a used core 2 quad or something.

Dell never released any bios updates with the required microcode to run core 2s
