A friend told me that GE now owns DELL ... but searches with Google don't
seem to come up with any hits saying that.

Any idea if it's true ?

Lessee. Google turns up nothing? Nothing in the business
sections of news web sites/hard-copy physical newspapers?

First guess. Your friend is trying to unload some Dell stock on
you, and figures the GE cachet might convince you to buy.

Second guess. The Bilderbugers/Trilateral Commission/pick your
favorite Konspiracy nemesis have gotten to the media and are
making them suppress this horrendous news [ask Letterman what
/he/ thinks of being owned by GE].

no one owns dell but michael dell himself till he dies his kids or whoever gets
the company.does he ever got kids or a wife? next thing your friend will be
