I have this soldering iron from china but it didnt have a plug for it so i tried to make a plug for using a power cable that was just lying around and i'm testing it right now but a diagram for the dell part 8y114 would really help since i dont know which wires are which

I still have no idea what it is exactly you're trying to do. You're making a plug for a soldering iron you got in China? What does a Dell PSU have to do with any of this? I wish you the best and hope someone else comes along that is more able to wade through this syntax.
