Dell Precision T 3400 troubles

got a used dell precision t3400 and trying to boot it up on single sata drive
the options in bios sata operations is raid auto detect/achi
raid autodetect/ata and raid on
it says onboard sata drive is not present
but shows the 3 160gig sata drives and have win 7 pro 64bit up and running

You say it has 3 160GB drives. If they were in RAID 0 each drive has 1/3 of the data, so it won't boot from 1 drive. I would try RAID auto detect and see if it runs. In other words all 3 drives will make 1-480GB C:drive. Unless it was partitioned some other way.
