Greetings everyone!

I've been looking at the Dell S2716DG for my first build, but I'm just wondering if that is the best monitor to get for the gtx 1070. From what I hear, 1440p is the sweet spot for the gtx 1070 and features like G-Sync and 144hz is what sells this monitor for me, but I just want to ask here before I spend that kind of money. I'll mostly be gaming on this computer.

My build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bMb7pb

Thanks!

Yeah that should be a great monitor for your build. Its certainly not cheap, but it is a quality monitor. Hardware canucks has a video on that monitor if you're interested. Personally I would look at an 1440p 144hz gsync IPS monitor for that kind of money, its a bit on the expensive side for a TN if you ask me.

Thank you for responding! What does TN mean?

Twisted nuematic. Its the type of panel being used. To keep it short, TN's normally have better response times, IPS has better more accurate colors however nowadays they are rivaling TN in response times. There are others as well like VA and PLS.

Its kind of an in depth topic. If you want a more detailed explanation these guys have a really good article explaining the differences: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1890-panel-comparison-tn-ips-pls-va-crt

Okay I see. Thanks!
