I have upgraded my Dell T5500 with Dual Xeon X5670 which should have 12 cores and 24 threads, however CPU-Z and other programs show only 12 Threads and not 24. I have upgraded my BIOS to A18 (2018) and also enables all cores in Win 10 via MSCONFIG . When I activate hyper threading in Bios it shows 6 cores and 12 threads (recognize only 1 of the 2 CPUs) and when hyper-threading in Bios is off it shows 12 cores and 12 threads.

Does anyone know how to force it to have all the 12 cores and 24 Threads???

Thank you all very much in advance

Hmmm...that's quite strange. Have you tried it just one cpu at a time to make sure the cpus are good and not fakes or bad? There's actually an old intel cpu validation program that does a good job at this. I discovered my x5460 are fakes this way. :(

I will definitely check that with Intel's software, thank you for your suggestions
