I'm an Biomedical Engineering student and I need a new laptop. Right now I have the HP Spectre but there's a terrifying metallic noise coming from the interior, which I think is a design flaw. It sounds like the fan scraping on a component.
Im now looking at the Dell XPS 13 and Asus Zenbook UX303. I game often as well so I would prefer something that's portable while also delivering on power- again where the Spectre fell short.
Which do you think would be the better choice?
My budget: around $1500
Games I play: Overwatch, mostly FPS. A dedicated GPU would be ideal.
I'd want a portable laptop that has a good frame, the Spectre's carbon fiber was amazing.
I'd want a 13"
It needs to handle coding C++.
I wouldn't mind a shorter battery life.
Storage: around 512GB SSD - 1TB Hard drive
Ideally, I'd like to have the laptop for the next three years.
