Hi

I want to put a GeForce 1660 card into my dell XPS 8930 i7 8700

Am I likely to have dimensional problems fitting it in (PCI Express) or with the power supply?

I have heard rumours that Dell BIOS won't accept anything but Dell supplied - any feedback?

Finally, appreciate it is early days but any feedback on make/model (it is for Dangerous Elite).

Thanks

According to the limited sourced I've found, Dell themselves claim there's 225W available to the GPU.
Not convinced I buy that....

Can;t find much to confirm, but I would suspect a 460W unit, even if it could only do half of that, is still capable enough for the upgrade.
65W CPU, 120W GPU.

Can you post the spec label from the side of the PSU?

Looks like the only limitation is going to be in length.
You have more than enough room for a 3 slot card.

I'd suggest measuring the physical length available though.

PSU might be a concern -looks like it shipped with a 1050TI? Added ~50W to a 1660TI.

As for Dell only, that used to be somewhat true. But on a modern desktop, I don't believe there's any such lockdown.
