Personally I would go for the Dell because of the terrible feedback that is quite often of from acer. The dell also generally looks better with the specs

It depends on what you plan on doing with your laptop. For general processing and watching videos, I'd go for the XPS 13, it's a sleek and sexy new laptop from Dell.

However, if you would like processing/graphical power, I'd consider the Acer Nitro. It's designed for gaming and video editing, but the display lacks in quality in comparison to the Dell.
