denon avrs720w problems

New Samsung 4k model 8000 hooked to denon 720w receiver works with TV audio but not with streaming apps from TV. Samsung said not their problem, Denon said not their problem and the Best Buy geek squad said their not copadible. Been hooked up numerous ways and nothing seems to work. Blue Ray player and 5 disc player and cable box also. Thanks for your help.

It seems that some TVs don't send the audio from their "smart" functions to the audio output of the TV. Pretty dumb. If the TV has a headphone out you could try that.
