Question Desk fan interfering with pc

So its hot here in the uk and i have a fan next to me on my desk, ive just noticed that when i press any speed settings on it or turn it off and on i can hear a slight interference in my headphones, and it even just disconnected my mouse and keyboard for a few seconds and froze my you tube video? maybe due to it cutting out my powerline adapter for a split second, can someone explain to me why this happens? and could it be dangerous to my pc/peripherals as it is sat right next to them, thanks

are they on the same power point? maybe plug lamp into another connection?

I haven't got one but we thinking about one.
