Desktop Back ground windows 10

When setting desktop image [wallpaper] it can not be resized downward - should do automatically. When i go to display settings there are only 3 other options not including default of landscape. It flips all controls/picture sideways or upside down.

I opened my pictures in the paint program and used it to set desktop background
